What is homemaking? What is inheritance? How does whiteness problematize these ideas and actions?
This work explores aspirations of homemaking and homedoing that recenter ancestral responsibility through beautifying the clothespin, crafting a tool unavoidably used, well-worn, and meant to be passed down for generations. In rethinking the habituality and ritual of homemaking, how can white Americans contend with the dis/possessive habit of whiteness to dismantle and build anew?
